Alter ego is dedicated to my children. They have always cheered me on, carried books, packed boxes, sold books, worked at book fairs, joined me at signings and been there for me ever since I wrote my first book and published it myself.

The photo is from one of my early book signings, when we travelled around to markets selling Marked for Life. Back then, I had no idea that my dream of writing more books would come true. Without you, Henrik Schepp, none of it would have been possible.

And without you, Filippa and Philip, none of it would have meant anything.

Thank you for putting up with a mother who still becomes completely absorbed in her stories and still travels around with her books. I love you more than words can express.
